John Cassis is the founder and president of the Cassis Group, a firm
specializing in business motivation and teambuilding. Since 1980, John has
challenged more than 1 million people to face modern day demands with
sensitivity and humor. John focuses on the needs of each client,
customizing his motivational messages to each group he addresses.
Newsletter Publisher: John is the publisher of a newsletter, Catching A
Second Wind, designed to bring reader’s motivational insights, practical
ideas, and inspirational thoughts to readers with each issue.
Professional Athlete: John builds on his experiences as a professional
baseball player with the California Angels when he shares the principles
of building a winning team.
Pre-game Inspirational Speaker: Since 1983, John has been the pre-game
inspirational speaker for the Chicago Bears. Mike Ditka, former coach and
now sportscaster for NBC-TV, simply calls John "one of the
best!"
John's
diverse background also adds credibility to what he says. He earned a
bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati. After playing three
years of professional baseball, he studied and received a Master's of
Divinity degree in Boston. From 1973 to 1975, he directed a youth
counseling center. In 1975, he became minister of a small church in
Colorado, where the congregation grew from 80 to 2,000 people in five
years. Then in 1981, as Director of Special Projects at World Relief, John
challenged people throughout the world to get involved in helping the
hungry. John has been providing motivational and team building resources
to professionals since 1983, when he founded the Cassis Group. Having met
face-to-face with hundreds of successful CEOs and managers from top
performing companies for more than a decade, John understands today's
"high pressure" business environment.
