Second City Communications is the division of North America’s foremost comedy institution that provides entertainment, training and creative and multimedia services to businesses. With over 40 years of experience across a wide variety of industries, Second City Communications provides a fresh approach to corporate entertainment and training by tapping into The Second City’s rich pool of talent and ideas. Specific services include customized improv shows tailored for corporate events and meetings, in-depth training and workshops for groups or individuals (topics range from presentation skills workshops, to custom seminars that address, for example, issues affecting performance within teams and organizations as a whole), and video and multimedia services for clients who want to tell their story with custom presentations utilizing Second City actors and writing savvy.

Second City Communications Basic Entertainment Offerings:

Custom show
Our most popular offering, it's a 50-minute SC revue, with 2-3 scenes customized to your particular industry, audience or company issues. Additionally, we'll have about 20 minutes of improv and 15 minutes or so archival "best of" SC scenes (the ones that are virtually guaranteed to kill from prior experience). We work with clients to get briefed on the issues (and foibles) of the topic, and develop treatments and scripts with the client’s full involvement and approval. Importantly, we keep our material appropriate for corporate crowds, but still riotously funny.

"Best of" Show
Again, about a 50-minute revue, but without customized scenes and some great improv

4 person improv
Approximately 30 minutes of improv using some of our best SC actors; while there is nothing "customized" about this, we do ask for audience suggestions for many of the games, and the material tends to take on concepts and ideas relevant to the audience.

Emcee
We do a lot of emcee work, sometimes for awards ceremonies, sometimes just to provide continuity between various parts of a client’s conference; emcee prices can vary depending on the length of the show and the degree of customized monologue required.

Meeting breaks
Typically short scenes to provide energy boosts and continuity between breakouts and general sessions; costs vary depending on the number of breaks, number of actors and time commitment required (are we there over two days, an afternoon etc...)

Expert Speaker
Actually, a faux expert speaker, who is quickly discovered to be a fraud, exposed by SC actors we've planted in the crowd; often we piggyback one custom scene with the speaker.

Hybrids
We often mix and match many of the above elements for clients, especially if we are involved in multi-day events. Prices vary, of course, depending on what we do; biggest cost drivers are talent (how many actors, how long) and degree of customization of material.
