Jack Stahl is the former president and chief operating officer of
Coca-Cola and CEO of Revlon. He began his career with The Coca-Cola
Company in 1979, a time when the company was being dramatically
repositioned for growth. During a period of accelerating
performance, Jack represented the company to Wall Street and had
responsibility for planning and acquisitions. He then became
controller of the company, and at age thirty-six became Chief
Financial Officer. Throughout his tenure in finance at Coca-Cola,
Jack played a key role in redefining the company’s financial
strategies, which created resources used to accelerate the overall
performance of the company.
In 1994, on his path to becoming president of Coca-Cola, Jack
assumed leadership of the company’s business in The United States.
Under Jack’s leadership the business achieved a significant increase
in market share and profitability. He later assumed responsibility
for Latin America and The Minute Maid Company.
As part of his responsibilities, Jack served on several boards,
including publicly-held Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Amatil
(based in Australia), and Coca-Cola Femsa (based in Mexico). Jack
also served as the chairman of a beverage joint venture between
Coca-Cola and Nestlé.
After serving the company as its president and chief operating
office, Jack left The Coca-Cola Company in 2001. In 2002, Jack
became president and CEO of Revlon and a member of its board of
directors. While Jack led Revlon, the company grew market share,
reduced debt, and positioned itself for increased profitability.
Jack currently serves on the board of Schering-Plough Corporation,
is Chairman of the Board of the United Negro College Fund, and is a
member of the board of governors of The Boys & Girls Clubs of
America.
Jack has written a book, “Lessons on Leadership”, which was
published in July, 2007.
Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Emory University
and a master’s degree from the Wharton School of Business,
University of Pennsylvania.
