Peter
Vidmar became the premier male gymnast for the United States at the 1984
Olympics. As USA team captain, he led his teammates to their stunning gold
medal victory over the Peoples Republic of China. Peter went on to win the
Silver Medal in the all-around competition, making him the only American
male ever to do so. And with a perfect score of 10, he also captured the
Gold Medal on the pommel horse. A member of the US Olympic Hall of Fame,
Peter is the highest scoring US male gymnast in Olympic history. As one
reporter put it, "No US gymnast has ever come so close to
perfection."
Since his
Olympic triumphs, Peter has worked as the gymnastics announcer for CBS
Sports, served on the boards of USA Gymnastics and the US Olympic
Committee, and has been appointed to the President's Council on Physical
Fitness and Sports as well as the California Governor's Council on
Physical Fitness and Sports, And he has become well-known as a
motivator of America's top corporations and associations.
Very few
speakers can motivate an audience like Peter Vidmar. His presentations are
truly powerful. He is a terrific speaker and performer. You won't see a
suit and tie, but you will see that he backs up his
thoughts
with live demonstrations on the pommel horse that are artfully blended
into his speech. This visual reinforcement of his powerful principles
leaves lasting impressions. Humor, relevance to his audience, high energy,
drama, and a standing ovation are all characteristic of his presentations,
Maybe that's why Successful Meetings magazine has listed Peter Vidmar as
one of the top ten speakers in the country. Peter is in great demand
for motivational presentations and trade show demonstrations.

RISK, ORIGINALITY AND VIRTUOSITY
What
separates the best from the rest? How do you work harder when you think
you're already giving it your all? How do you deal with setbacks when you
know "you could have won"? How much of a risk should you take?
Can you really perfect what you do? These are the questions Peter and his
teammates had to answer. Peter's presentation on RISK, ORIGINALITY, and
VIRTUOSITY answers these questions and vividly describes the
requirements for "The Perfect 10." Peter uses the ROV principles
and corresponding pommel horse demonstrations to motivate, uplift, and
entertain, He goes all out every time to make sure audiences gain fresh
perspectives while thoroughly enjoying the experience. His is truly a
world class performance.
