Diane Goodman, president of The Goodman Speakers Bureau, gave a presentation at the 2003 “World Education Congress” event hosted annually by the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) trade organization.  Goodman’s presentation, “How to Target, Evaluate, and Utilize Speakers,” The discussion was held on Monday, August 4, 2003, at the Moscone West Conference Center in San Francisco.

The content of the presentation was based on Goodman’s workbook, “Survive the Search,” as well as input the bureau has received from industry insiders.  The objective was to help anyone involved in hiring a speaker to recognize the difference between the professional, expert and celebrity speaker, and to target the one that best meets their needs. The session also helped planners identify creative ways to maximize their investment in a professional speaker, better evaluate speaker videos before selecting a speaker, and understand speaker fees and contracts.

Founded in 1979, The Goodman Speakers Bureau has created a customized approach to securing professional speakers for national and international businesses and associations.

Diane is available to present this informative workshop to other professional associations, meeting planning departments and third party meeting management companies.
